形态描述
体粗壮，尾柄较高。唇厚，上唇缘具较多乳突，下唇具皱褶及乳突。须较长。背鳍最末根不分枝鳍条变硬。体无鳞。侧线完全。鳔后室发达，其前端通过一长细管与鳔前室相连。
生物学
The sclerotic fin loach is a delicious food fish, the maximum weight is about 160 g and the total length is 223 mm. It is commonly found in the upper reaches of the Huanghe River and the Qinghaihu Lake,and inhabits in the backwater of the streams and lakes. When the ice breaks in March, they migrate and spawn over the sand beds.
